Demo

Familiarizing yourself with the provided example is a great way to get to know Skolaris. Open the "Demo school" organisation and find out how simple the timetable creation is in Skolaris.

If you already have a Skolaris account, you might have to log out first to see the demo school.

Demo school overview

This artificial data set has been created for the purpose of demonstrating Skolaris at Bett 2015.

Although there are only eight class groups with about 230 lessons the data is constructed in a way that makes it difficult should one try to find a schedule manually. Have a look at the details of several class groups and [teacher|teachers]] where you will see their individual settings.

Automatic generation of a fully optimised timetable should take about five to ten minutes. Once you've successfully created a timetable, your understanding of how Skolaris works should be good enough to start entering your own organisation's data.

Teachers

Out of 17 teachers six are not available for all periods and four more are part-time teachers requesting a minimum of three free days per week. Two of the teachers also have an absolute room preference, so their lessons can only take place in the specified rooms.

Class groups

All class groups are divided into subgroups by gender for P.E., four have an additional division for options. Six subjects are taught to split class groups.

Teaching groups

There is a vertical group for French combining students from 7th and 8th year. There are five more groups combining students from different class groups.

Rooms

Both rooms for P.E. have limited availability, six of the rooms only accept specific subjects.

Timeslots

The last period is not available on Friday, other late and early periods have limited availabilities.
