Term

An academic term, or semester, defines a span of time for which timeslots, lessons and timetables are created.

Timeslots

Timeslots constitute a matrix of days and periods into which all lessons are scheduled.

Days

Choose a number of days according to repetition of regular lessons in your timetable, e.g. five days for a "one-week" timetable where most lessons repeat every calendar week, 10 days for a "two-week" timetable where lessons repeat every two weeks.

Periods

Regular non-teaching periods, such as fixed recess and lunch, should not be included. Use the period times and optimisation settings to indicate recess and lunch gaps instead.

The start and end time for each period is also important if your school has multiple campuses and you need to check the time needed for transit between them.

Availability

Each timeslot has its own availability which quantifies how much it is desired to schedule lessons into it.
